Spring 2024 Undergraduate Showcase spotlights outstanding student work
Five students were selected to earn prizes for their work
On April 24, the Department of French and Francophone Studies hosted the 2024 UIC French Student Showcase which featured the creative projects of students in French 213, 214, and 302. Here are the prize winners for each course:
FR 302 (Espirits: Exploring the French-Speaking World)
Instructor: Rose Gérazime
Winners: Maxime Bonamy for musical composition "Musique de la fosse" and Rica Lopez for sculpture "Atlas et les mineurs"
FR 214 (Conversational French through Popular Culture and Media)
Instructor: Ellen McClure
Winner: Myles Allred for his comic "L'amour et l'haine : Krispy Kreme à Paris"
FR 213 (Rebelling: French History Through Its Revolutions)
Instructor: Carly Lapôtre
Winners: Deaglan McAndrew & Edgar Marquez for their comic "Les applis de rencontres"
